Love helping little minds grow?

Early Childhood and Pre-K teachers help young children build their first school skills through play, creativity, stories, hands-on activities, and lots of discovery. You’ll help children learn how to communicate, make friends, solve problems, and become more independent.

Your impact: Help give children a strong start by building their confidence, curiosity, and love of learning during some of the most important years of their development.

How Do I Get There?

High School → Early Childhood/Education Program → College or Required Credentials → Florida Certification (when required) → Early Childhood/Pre-K Teacher

While you're in high school, explore courses and experiences related to early childhood education, child development, psychology, education, and human services. Babysitting, volunteering with children, tutoring, coaching, or working in an early learning program can also give you valuable experience.
